This Friday at the B.B. King Museum: High Noon and Gin & Juke!

|

The B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center welcomes Dr. Mark Howell, Director of Winterville Mounds Park and Museum, to Lucille's Gift Shop, on Friday, August 27 at noon. Dr. Howell will discuss the archaeology of the blues - uncovering instruments and other music related materials that were left in the ground in places like the Delta - and how that helps us understand the origin of the blues.

Dr. Howell's talk will utilize archaeology, musicology, along with recorded and live music examples in order to explore the evidence for the truth behind the Blues.

High Noon Brown Bag Luncheons are held at the B.B. King Museum on the last Friday of every month, at 12 noon. Bring your lunch.  Beverages are available for purchase.  No advance reservation required.

Teachers & B.B. King Museum Members also receive $5 admission to Gin & Juke! Not a member? Join Now!
