The Broadway Center For the Performing Arts and the Immanuel Presbyterian Blues Vespers present Charlie Musselwhite Friday, October 7, 2011 • 7:30 p.m. at the Rialto Theater in Tacoma, Washington.

A groundbreaking recording artist and harmonica master, Charlie Musselwhite creates trailblazing music while remaining firmly rooted in the blues. His melodic harmonica playing and deep country blues guitar flawlessly accompany his often autobiographical and always memorable original songs. He'll be joined by some of the Northwest's premier harp players - The Paul Green Harmonica Showcase with Paul Green, Jay Mabin and Kim Field.

Charlie's latest, album, The Well is the first full-band recording in his career for which he wrote or co-wrote every track on the album. As a teen, Musselwhite attended parties hosted by Elvis Presley and hobnobbed with many of the local musicians, including Johnny Cash and Johnny Burnette. Over the last 43 years Musselwhite has released over 30 albums. Musselwhite was reportedly the inspiration for Dan Aykroyd's Blues Brothers.
